Labels:text | screenshot | font OCR: The two largest pop centres, PARADISO and the MELKWEG, are a stone's throw away from each other. PARADISO (Weteringsschans 6) was opened in 1968 and is housed in a former church, lending it an impressive political and cultural history. The decor of the large hall is sober and functional, except for the beautiful stained glass windows above the stage. Most of the performances given are from the alternative pop scene and admission is reasonably priced. Doors open at 8 p.m ., but concerts usually only start about nine-thirty.
